Any absence from class, which is not made up, shall result in the loss of points from the student's participation grade for the marking period. Students are expected to be in the classroom, ready to work, when the bell rings. Tardiness to class will result in a loss of points for class participation.

Excessive absences contribute to poor academic achievement. Daily classroom attendance is imperative. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange to make up missed work and assignments due to class absence. Absences can severely affect your grade. If a student does not adhere to the teacher's class expectations, she/he will receive no credit for the course and be denied entrance to the final exam.
