Valedictorian and Salutatorian Named for the Class of 2016

Brian Ellsworth - Salutatorian 

The Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2016 have been named. Ben Mannix was named the Valedictorian while Brian Ellsworth earned the Salutatorian distinction.

Ben Mannix earned a cumulative average of 101.054 to secure the first rank in his class. Ben plans on attending SUNY Broome after graduation and studying Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Physics. While at Windsor High School, Ben has participated in Sr. Band, YES! Leads, Drama Club, French Club, Cross Country, Indoor Track and Track & Field. He also spent time interning at the Kopernik Observatory. Ben has received the following honors and awards: 4 year scholastic award, STAC Scholar Athlete, STAC Sportsmanship Award, University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal Winner, AP Scholar with Honors, New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Black Knight Scholarship, DAR US History Award, Windsor Lions Club Scholarship, SUNY Broome Alumni Scholarship and an Advanced Regent Diploma with honors.

Brian Ellsworth finished second in class of 2016 with a cumulative average of 100.5. Brian plans on attending Syracuse University in the fall and studying Pre-med. While at Windsor High School, Brian has participated in, Odyssey of the Mind, Mock Trial, Jazz Band, YES! Leads, Ice Hockey, Tennis and Karate. He also completed the New Visions Health Academy Program. Brian has received the following honors and awards: 2nd Degree Black Belt Promotion, Leadership Recognition Award, 1st place finishes at Regional Odyssey of the Mind and Odyssey of the Mind World Finalist team.

Ben and Brian will both speak at the 132nd Commencement on Friday June 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the Windsor High School.
