There was a strong chance of showers at Bell Elementary Tuesday, and it had nothing to do with the weather.

Tuesday was water day as campers played with water squirters and played on a water slide and bounce house. The activities are part of the final week of the 2022 Windsor CSD summer program. Weeks Elementary will have its water day on Wednesday while Palmer Elementary will hold its water day on Thursday, the final day of camp.

Bowling and field hockey sports camps continued Tuesday. Bowling coach Bob Pflanz and his varsity athletes watched 37 campers on the lanes, and helped where they good, including instilling confidence.

“One girl asked where the bumpers are. I told her, ‘We don’t use bumpers.’ She said, ‘I can’t bowl without bumpers.’ She just bowled a strike this morning – without bumpers,” said Pflanz.

Field hockey campers participated in drills to improve passing skills, hand-eye coordination, hitting and driving the ball. They also scrimmaged during the second half of the session.
