FFA in Albany

Windsor Future Farmers of America (FFA) student spent Monday and Tuesday in Albany meeting with state leaders about the agriculture industry.

Students practiced messaging and leadership skills before meeting with legislators. Governor Kathy Hochul addressed the entire group. Windsor students met with State Senator Peter Oberacker and State Assembly members Joseph Angelino and Donna Lupardo.

““I got more leadership skills. I was also very excited that I was able to meet with the Governor and legislators in New York,” said WCHS agriculture student. Natalia Ciborowski.

“Any time you can put a student in the halls of Albany, allowing get them to interact with their legislators and legislators from across the state giving them a peek into their FFA and Ag class experience, it’s a win-win for both,” said Windsor agriculture teacher Tina Miner-James.
