Milunich, Smith Present at NYSCATE Conference

Windsor Central High School teachers Gregory Milunich and Kevin Smith presented at the New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE) Southern Tier ConnectEd conference at Elmira High School.
Sessions included understanding the effect screen time has on the brain, mitigating bias with artificial intelligence, and a drone soccer demonstration.

The Windsor educators presented about their use of simulations in social studies classes to increase engagement and enhance student learning. They also discussed how Windsor’s Professional Learning Community (PLC) model allows them to work as a department to build and develop these simulations.

“We were able to do a demonstration of one simulation as well as share resources with other educators. This was a great experience to network with other educators and show some of the great things we do at Windsor,” said Milunich.
