Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 30
The fourth week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program ended on Thursday, ending the Knight Lights elementary camp and Windsor Strong Academy.
Knight Lights campers enjoyed Water Day to finish camp. A fire truck and a hot air balloon were on site, with children having the chance to walk inside the hot air balloon. The day featured sponge races, a water slide, and inflatable games. The fire truck sprayed the students to conclude the camp.
Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy held the Windsor Strong Regatta on Thursday. Teams of students built cardboard boats, and their mentors raced them in the Windsor Central High School pool.
Golf, volleyball, soccer, and football camps finished on Thursday.
Golfers hit drivers, played on a par-3 to practice their wedge and putters, and played holes with a captain-and-crew format, playing the best ball.
Volleyball players participated in a volleyball Olympics that combined all of the skills campers learned this week: passings, setting, serving, and hitting.
Soccer campers practiced toe touches, rollovers, and penalty kicks. They finished with World Cup games and a half-field scrimmage.
Football players worked on USA football blocking drills and finished camp with a punt, pass, and kick contest.
Next week, sports camps will conclude with bowling and field hockey. It will also mark the beginning of Windsor’s two-week Fine Arts camp.
