Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 28

The fourth week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program continued on Tuesday.
A group of children and an adult stand around a table with blue cups and craft supplies.In the final week of Knight Lights, STEM students experimented with chemistry by creating a polymer by creating long chains of molecules that bounce. A representative from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County helped students plant basil.

Kindergarten students spent the morning swimming at the Windsor Central High School pool.

5th- and 6th-grade students continued their food unit. Middle school Spanish teacher Sean Cook had students make fresh Pico de Gallo. They also made fresh-squeezed citrus aid using oranges, lemons, and limes for a second day. Campers will make fruit salad on Wednesday.

Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy continued building their cardboard boats for the Windsor Strong Regatta on Thursday – the final day of the camp.

Golf and volleyball camps continued on Tuesday. Soccer and football camps were cancelled due to inclement weather.

Golfers practiced putting, had a putting contest, worked on chipping and reading the greens, and played some holes.  

Volleyball players practiced defense, including diving to the floor to keep balls alive.
