Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 27

The fourth week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program concluded on Thursday.
In the final week of Knight Lights, STEM students studied the phases of the moon using Oreos. Some of the younger students planted wildflowers.

5th- and 6th-grade students began a food unit. Middle school Spanish teacher Sean Cook taught students how to make fresh pico de gallo. They also made fresh-squeezed citrus aid using oranges, lemons, and limes.

Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy began building their cardboard boats for the Windsor Strong Regatta on Thursday – the final day of the camp.

Golf, volleyball, soccer, and football camps began on Monday

Golfers practiced their grip, putting stroke, reading the green, chipping from the green , etiquette on the green.

Volleyball players learned how to move their feet to best get to the ball to pass underhanded.

Soccer campers played soccer tag as a warm-up before focusing on shooting and passing. Players ended the camp divided into World Cup teams and played a scrimmage.

Football players held a mini-combine on Monday. Players ran a 40-yard dash, performed an agility run, and tested themselves on how many push-ups and sit-ups they could do in a period of time. They also played a 7-vs.-7 game.
