Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 21
The third week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program continued on Tuesday.
Kelly Emmons from Broome County Dispatch spoke to students about the county’s 911 system. Knight Lights STEM students had different engineering stations to explore. Some learned geometry through origami projects. Others learned about belt gear systems with the Goldiblox and the Spinning Machine building set.
5th- and 6th-grade students continued to learn about simple machines by playing board games that use simple machines. They will build machines of their own later this week.
1st- and 2nd- grade students spent Tuesday swimming in the pool at Windsor Central High School.
Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy continued building costumes and establishing rules and positions for their kingdoms. They will take part in a Coronation Day on Thursday.
Softball, baseball, and lacrosse sports camps continued Tuesday, but inclement weather moved activities indoors.
Campers had their choice of watching a movie in the Windsor Central High School Auditorium or playing kickball or dodgeball in the WCHS gym.
