Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 20

The third week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program began on Monday.
Two girls enjoy swinging on a playground on a sunny day, one holding a stuffed animal.Knight Lights STEM students learned creating electrical circuits and robotics. They created battery-powered robots and learned how to change the path of the robots by moving the battery and redistributing the weight of the robot.

5th- and 6th-grade students learned about simple machines like pulleys, wheels, axles, and wedges. They will build machines this week.

Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy continued their medieval theme establishing rules and positions for their kingdoms, as well as starting costumes for Coronation Day on Thursday.

Softball, baseball, and lacrosse sports camps began on Monday.

Softball players practiced fielding ground balls with their glove hand and throwing. They played a scrimmage at the end of camp.

Baseball campers split into two groups, one of older players and the other of younger players. They worked on fundamentals of the game on Monday: relays, baserunning, and throwing.

Girls lacrosse campers practiced passing, catching, and shooting. Boys lacrosse athletes played lacrosse tag and practiced gathering ground balls and shooting.
