Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 7
The first week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program continued on Tuesday.
Knight Lights elementary camp rotated students through stations focusing on gross motor skills, fine arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and literacy and numeracy.
Tuesday’s highlights included a nature walk and math logic games. 5th- and 6th-grade students spent the
morning swimming at Windsor Central High School.
Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy advanced the camp’s medieval theme by creating flags and crests for their kingdoms. Later this week, they will make musical instruments and use a 3D printer to create passports and passport stamps.
Basketball, cheer, and wrestling camps continued. 55 basketball campers focused on shooting and layups while learning the camp’s word of the day, intensity. 14 boys and girls varsity players are volunteering to help run the camp.
Cheer campers worked on learning cheers and tumbling. They broke into individual groups to create their own cheers.
Boys and girls wrestlers practiced double leg takedowns from neutral. Boys practiced a cross face cradle from top and a sit back series from bottom. Girls worked on leg laces from top and defense from bottom.
