The Windsor CSD 2026 summer program began on Monday.
Children and an adult react with surprise to a tall wooden block tower.Knight Lights elementary camp rotated students through stations focusing on gross motor skills, fine arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and literacy and numeracy.

Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy designed camp t-shirts and voted on the winning design. This year’s camp has a medieval theme.

Students will spend the week creating and naming kingdoms and establishing rules for the kingdoms. Campers will create kingdom flags and crests this week, as well as musical instruments. They will also use a 3D printer to create passports and passport stamps.

This week’s sports camps are basketball, cheer, and wrestling. 55 basketball campers focused on footwork, dribbling, and passing as they rotated through different stations. 14 boys and girls varsity players are volunteering to help run the camp.

Cheer campers worked on arm rotations and jumps. They also started creating posters that they will hang throughout Windsor Central High School to welcome campers.

Boys and girls wrestlers practiced stance in motions and a snap-down go-behind move from neutral. Boys practiced a tight-waist chop to half nelson from top and an inside leg standup from bottom. Girls worked on a gut wrench from top and defending the gut wrench from bottom.
