Summer Program Rundown: July 31
Summer program summary July 31:
This is Robotics Week at Knight Lights. K-5 campers are developing their coding and programming skills. Older campers are building a robotic arm that will have to accomplish a special feat by the end of the week. For more information click here.
Campers began with skills stations. Many stations focused on having players develop a sense of touch with the ball, including a quick two-touch drill, outside touch drill and touch-and-move drill. Campers split into multiple teams and played two games. Each camp for the rest of the week will end with a half-hour swim in the high school pool.
The campers began with an introductory “icebreaker” exercise. Campers were split into three age groups. Each group learned a cheer being performed by the varsity cheer team. Campers also worked on foundational skills.
The rest of camp this week will feature team day, color day and wacky Wednesday. Camp will conclude with a cheer performance on Thursday.
