Knight Lights:
Human body week continued at the camp.

Students in the fine arts concentration of Knight Lights made Aztec headdresses as they continued to learn about early Mexico and its inhabitants. They will also learn the Spanish names for different body parts this week. The fine arts students will study music and arts over the next two weeks.

Athletic camps:
The younger students in the basketball camp (entering grades 4-6) enjoyed crazy sock day as tournament play continued. Older campers (entering grades 7-9) took part in a free-throw contest, skill stations and five-on-five play.

In wrestling camp coach Jeff Nolan said the focus has been on offense from neutral with techniques driven in the double-leg, single-leg, and low-single positions.

“Today we did scoring from counter offense and getting to doubles and singles from opponent's shots. We are also having fun through team competitions including: Gladiator, Castle Ball, Mat Chess, and a cannonball contest in the pool,” said Nolan. “The kids have been awesome and I'm impressed with their ability to learn and apply skills at such a quick rate.”
