Donating to a Dream
When Bell Elementary 3rd grade teacher Emily Rose wanted to get her class into the spirit of the season of giving last year, she quickly thought of an idea close to her heart.

“I thought we could collect for Every Dog’s Dream Adoption Center. It’s located inside Petco in Johnson City. This is the rescue where my family got our dog, Max, rescued from a high-kill shelter in Darlington County, South Carolina,” said Miss Rose.

So, she and her students collected supplies. And, they kept collecting.

“It started out as just a few crates and ended up taking up the entire front of my room,” said Miss Rose.

She is continuing the supply drive this year, but is now opening it up to the entire Bell community. The rescue needs the following items: Paper towels, newspapers, Dawn Dish Soap, Clorox Wipes, Purina Dog Chow, Purina Puppy Chow, Purina Cat Chow, Purina Kitten Chow, any kind of kitten canned food, and any kind of kitty litter.

The drive began Monday and runs through Friday, December 13th. Students, teachers, and any member of the community can bring supplies to Bell Elementary. Miss Rose, a handful of her students, and Max, will go to the rescue on December 14th to deliver the supplies.
