High School Class Leads Relief Effort for California Fire Victims
Amid the widespread devastation caused but the California wildfire, one class at Windsor Central High School is hoping to play at least a small role in the recovery.

Mrs. Barb Hemedinger’s Forces of Nature class is leading a relief effort to raise small consumable supplies like pens, pencils, toiletries, and Amazon gift cards to distribute to families in need. Hemedinger reached out to the principal at Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, California to see what his students needed. Many of them have been displaced by the fires.

“He said a lot of these kids don’t have homes anymore so what they really need is shelter and security. But, since many are living in shelters they need small consumables. They can’t have anything big,” said Hemedinger.

Mrs. Hemedinger’s class at room 111 in the High School is collecting donations through December 7th.
