The weather wasn't great but the cause was as 60 people braved unseasonable cold and mixed precipitation at the 4th annual Knight Pack Walk at Valley Park in Kirkwood Sunday.
The event raised $820 and 672 items of food for the anti-hunger program. Knight Pack provides packs of food for students in the Windsor Central School District who are facing food insecurity to bring home each weekend. Over 80,000 food items have now been sent home.
Sodexo food services also presented Knight Pack founder Alexis Green with a special award from the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation for her Youth Service America Knight Pack Work.

"Knight Pack is now a service club at the high school. We are always looking for students to help. It serves all schools in the Windsor District," said high school teacher Amy Green, Alexis' mother.
In addition to the annual walk Knight Pack is in urgent need of the following items to add to the weekly food packs:

Canned fruits
Oatmeal
Cereal
Peanut butter
Pasta
Canned Pasta sauce
Granola bars
Mac n cheese
