Jan. 19 COVID Update
Dear Windsor School Community,

On Monday, January 18, 2021, we were notified by the Broome County Health Department (BCHD) that the district has three confirmed cases of COVID-19: one involving a student at Windsor Central High School, one involving a student at Windsor Central Middle School, and one involving a student at C.R. Weeks Elementary School.

Information regarding these students’ identities cannot be released. We ask that you please respect their privacy. These students will be placed in isolation for the mandated number of days.

If there was a person in direct or proximate contact inside of the school or off the school campus, they will be placed in quarantine. The district is assisting the Broome County Health Department with a contact-tracing investigation.

We will continue to monitor this situation and will notify staff and families immediately of any interruptions to the school schedule. We appreciate your patience and cooperation, as we know this is a serious matter of great concern to many of you. Please contact my office if you have any questions at 607-655-8216 or via email at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Jason A. Andrews, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
