Summer Program Rundown: July 17

Windsor Summer Program highlights July 17:

Windsor Strong Academy:
Students have formed teams to study a specific issue that makes a community great. Students in the team studying health visited the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier. You can read more on their visit here.

Knight Lights:
This week is human body week at Knight Lights. Today the youngest students in camp identified the different parts of the human body. During the week students will study bones, x-rays and make their own casts.
Some students continued to study Spanish through art, a lesson which will lead into an examination of early Mexico next week.

Basketball Camp:
The older group (students entering grades 7-9) had a one-on-one tournament, participated in full-court ball-handling drills, held team practices and played five-on-five games. Tomorrow will feature a free-throw contest, skill stations and more five-on-five play.

The younger group (students entering grades 4-6) is split into “college” teams playing in a tournament. Tomorrow is crazy sock day, with the team featuring the craziest pairs earning extra credit.
