2020 Kenzee Jean Memorial Scholarship Details

Kenzee Jean Wheeler was a vibrant, loving 4 year old girl whose life was tragically cut short in a motor vehicle accident on November 15, 2012. She was not buckled into her car seat which was still in the trunk of the car. A memorial scholarship has been set up to honor her and to raise awareness of safety of children in motor vehicles.

Kenzee attended the Universal Pre-K at Windsor.  She was a bright light that touched the lives of everyone she met.  Full of adventurous spirit, she grabbed each day with gusto.  In memory of her generous heart a scholarship has been established to benefit college-bound students.

Applicants will submit a creative project, such as, but not limited to:  a poem, rap, song, poster, painting, or video that uses Kenzee’s slogan or a message relating to the slogan which raises awareness of motor vehicle safety issues involving children in the hopes of preventing future tragedies.  We are stressing the proper use of car seats every time and being fully aware of passengers and those around the car. (Our awareness is not about texting nor drunken driving nor leaving infants in the car). We are looking for quality projects that will be on display to the public. We reserve the right to use all submitted entries to raise public awareness, giving the creator credit. The projects will not be returned. The submissions must be entirely original and cannot in any way infringe on copyright laws.
