The New York State High School Football Coaches Association has named Windsor Central High School senior James Barnes to the 2018 Scholar All-State Football Team.

“It’s an honor. It shows the hard work I put in in the classroom and the football field,” said Barnes, who played linebacker for the black Knights. 

 

 

 

The award goes to players who have been significant contributors to their teams while excelling academically and exhibiting good citizenship.

“James is a hard worker on and off the field.  His hard work has paid off by being named All-Division in football and now being named to the NYS Football Coaches Association Scholar All-State Football Team.  It’s been an honor to work with James the past three years,” said Windsor football coach Tim Hogan.

Barnes has earned a spot on the Honor Roll or High Honor Roll throughout his high school academic career. He would to continue to play football at a Division-III college in New York State.
