Windsor FFA Holds Year-End Banquet

Windsor Central High School hosted the 2019 Windsor High School Future Farmers of America Awards Banquet on Wednesday night. The chapter named honorary members , handed out a number of awards to members, and elected officers for next school year. 
 
The chapter handed out honorary degrees to the following: State Senator Fred Akshar, Windsor CSD Superintendent, Dr. Jason Andrews, Windsor CSD Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, Scott Beattie, and Ms. Tina Miner-James.

WCHS students Cassidy Millward, Chyenne Kingsley, Alexis Twitchell, Alexandra Harris, Ohana Smith, and Megan McLaughlin earned Greenhand Degrees. Millward won the Gift of Blue Award and DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award. Smith and Kingsley won the Broome County Farm Bureau Jacket Award. Casey Hull, Haley Hagerman, and Cora Stout earned Senior Recognition. 
 
A post-banquet dinner featured salad featuring lettuce grown in the Black Knights aquaponics lab.  
 
The chapter officers for the 2019-2020 school year will be the following:

Vice President - Lexie Harris
Treasurer - Alexis Twitchell
Secretary - Chyenne Kingsley
Reporter - Megan McLaughlin
Sential - Ohana Smith
Advisor - Ms. Alexis Halstead
