2019 WCHS Valedictorian & Salutatorian

Alexis Nicole Green is the daughter of Scott and Amy Green. During her years at Windsor Central High School she has been actively involved in many activities. She was a member of the varsity volleyball team for three years and also spent much of her time participating in school and community activities. She is the founder of the Knight Pack Food Backpack program that she began as a seventh grader as well as being involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, Varsity Club, and SADD during her high school years. Along with school clubs and activities, Alexis devoted much of her time to volunteering at UHS Wilson and General Hospitals as well as shadowing at the Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Clinic in Syracuse and UHS Primary Care in Windsor. Alexis will be attending Binghamton University in the fall where she will be majoring in Nursing with the goal of becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Oncology/Hematology. She is beyond grateful for her family and the friends that became family during her time at Windsor. She will always hold the opportunities she had close to her heart and is thankful to graduate as a Black Knight.

Julia Ming Sitek is the daughter of Jim and Susie Sitek, and younger sister of Matthew, Rachel and Sarah Sitek. During her time at Windsor High School, she was actively involved in various clubs and activities. She has been a member of Student Council, Key Club, Yes Leads, Drama Club, SADD, National Honor Society, and Physics Club. In her senior year, she was able to serve as treasurer of Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society and Physics Club. She was also vice president of SADD, president of Spanish Club, and served as stage manager for the spring musical. She has participated on the varsity field hockey team for three years and was on the first high school lacrosse team at Windsor. Not only has Julia become closer with the community through her school, but she has also volunteered at the West Colesville Fire Station and in the hand bell choir at St. Mary’s church in Kirkwood. Julia looked forward to attending the New York State Council on Leadership and Student Activities (NYS-CLSA) where she was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award for her school. Julia was presented the Akshar’s All Star award by State Senator Fred Akshar and received the Good Citizens Award given by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was chosen to attend Girls State sponsored by the American Legion where she learned about patriotism and government. Julia will be attending Duquesne University in the fall where she will be majoring in Pharmacy. She is grateful for the opportunities Windsor has given her and will use all that she has learned in the future.
