Palmer Elementary and the Windsor Central School District extend a special "Thank you" to Weis Markets. The grocery chain donated $400 to Palmer Elementary as part of its Weis 4 Schools program.

Jennifer Averett is the Assistant Manager of the Weis on Pennsylvania Avenue in Binghamton. She is also the grandmother of Palmer students Grace, Clara, and Brady Hunter. Any parent can contribute by scanning your school's barcode (information will be forthcoming to parents) when you shop at Weis. You can also go to customer service to scan and earn a contribution to Palmer each time you shop.

"This is a generous donation from Weis. It's a great program that allows us to give back to our students," said Palmer Elementary principal Toby Youngs.
