Singleton Performs at EPAC

Weeks Elementary 5th grader Lucille Singleton is quickly becoming a theater veteran.

She just completed her third production at the Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC). She played the Poodle Narrator in EPAC’s production of 101 Dalmations.

“I did a school play here and I wanted to keep going,” said Singleton. “I like how I’m able to express myself, show my feelings, and do all of the facial expressions. And the dancing is fun.”
Actors ages 10-12 performed in 101 Dalmations, but there was one production for the younger members in that age group and another for the older ones. Singleton is part of the younger group, but not always.

“When they ask me to bump up, I do. Acting with older kids can make you better,” said Singleton.

She now has the urge to make other actors better as well.

“At EPAC, there’s a manager that owns the place. That’s his full-time job. I want to help people act and become an acting coach,” said Singleton.

And what advice would coach Lucille give to actress Lucille?

“To warm up after everything,” said Singleton. “And have faith in myself.”
