2018 WCHS Scholastic Awards

Windsor Central High School recognized its top-performing students at the 2018 Scholastic Awards Ceremony. The school honored dozens for achieving varying degrees of high academic achievement, winning scholarships and earning other academic awards.

The school also announced the 2018 Salutatorian and Valedictorian. Kendyl Gorick is the 2018 WCHS Salutatorian and Patrick Root is the 2018 WCHS Valedictorian.

“I’m honored to be part of this school that has given me this opportunity. I’m also thankful for everyone who has been there to support me along the way,” said Gorick.

“It took a lot of hard work but I’m so excited to win this award because it shows hard work pays off,” said Root.

Gorick will attend LeMoyne College to pursue a degree in Math and play volleyball. Root is going to the University of Buffalo where he will major in Biomedical Sciences. He hopes to one day work in a government lab such as the Centers for Disease Control or World Health Organization to find cures for diseases.
