Smart choices pay off in many ways. Once again for a Windsor Central High School senior, one decision resulted in a new set of wheels.
WCHS senior Riley Miner won a 2013 Ford Fiesta courtesy of Gary’s U-Pull It and Don’s Automotive Mall. For the 32nd year, the businesses donated a car as the grand prize at WCHS’ Post Prom Party that took place on May 14th on the WCHS campus. The annual party provides students with a fun, safe, substance-free option after Prom.
“I was shocked when I won it. I just sat there and looked at them and said, ‘Are you serious?’” said Miner. “I’m very thankful for it. It’s a wonderful car.”
“We love being a part of the community and (the Post Prom Party) is such a special event to help keep kids safe,” said Buster Fiacco, General Manager of Gary’s U-Pull It. “We hope to continue to do this because it’s such a great event.”
Miner plans to bring the car with her as she attends Cazenovia College beginning this fall.
