Dear Windsor School Community,

 

On Friday, January 8, 2021, we were notified by the Broome County Health Department (BCHD) that the district has three confirmed cases of COVID-19: two involving students at Windsor Central High School, and a third involving a staff member at WCHS. Information regarding these individuals’ identity cannot be released. We ask that you please respect their privacy. They will be placed in isolation for the mandated number of days.  

 

If there was a person in direct or proximate contact inside of the school or off the school campus, they will be placed in quarantine. The district is assisting the Broome County Health Department with a contact-tracing investigation.

 

We will continue to monitor this situation and will notify staff and families immediately of any interruptions to the school schedule. We appreciate your patience and cooperation, as we know this is a serious matter of great concern to many of you.
