United Against Bullying Week

Monday began United Against Bullying Week in Windsor’s three elementary schools. Teachers will review that day’s theme during their morning meeting with students at the beginning of the school day.

Monday’s theme was, “What is bullying?”. Tuedsay’s is, “Types of bullying.” Wednesday’s is, “Telling vs. tattling. Thursday’s is, “What do you do if you see bullying?’. Friday’s is, “What to do if you are bullied?’.
Friday is also Unity Day, when students will wear orange to symbolically show a message of hope and support. Students will also spend the week writing messages on paper footprints, which schools will display on Friday.

“We want all of our students to know they have the power to make a difference by making kind choices and respectfully standing up for others,” said Bell Elementary counselor Lori Fisher.

Fisher says the each of Windsor’s elementary schools are working together to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

“With all three of our buildings proactively teaching these social-emotional skills each day in our morning meetings, our students are equipped to understand what bullying is and what to do if they experience or witness bullying,” said Fisher.
