The Windsor Central School District is collaborating with the Broome County Department of Mental Health to offer the School and Family Enrichment (SAFE) Program to promote early identification of the strengths and difficulties that children in 5th through 8th grade may be experiencing.
A one-page confidential, voluntary questionnaire may be filled out to help identify emotional health/needs, provide accessible services and help keep children on track in the areas of home, school and community. Children’s emotional health can affect how prepared they will be for school, their ability to connect with friends and family, and their ability to bounce back when faced with life’s setbacks.
Parents of children in 5th through 8th grades will receive a letter from their child’s school requesting their permission for their child to participate. For more information on how to get involved with the program, call (607)778-3710 or send an e-mail to: dadair@co.broome.ny.us.
