The Windsor Central School District is collaborating for the third year with the Broome County Department of Mental Health to offer the School and Family Enrichment (SAFE) Project to promote early identification of the strengths and difficulties that children in grades K through 8 may be experiencing.
Children’s emotional health can affect how prepared they will be for school, their ability to connect with friends and family, and their ability to bounce back when faced with life’s setbacks. This one-page free, confidential and voluntary questionnaire may be filled out to help identify your child’s  social, emotional and behavioral strengths and needs, to provide accessible services and to help keep children on track in the areas of home, school and community.
Parents/guardians of children in Kindergarten through the 4th grade will be receiving a consent form and a parent questionnaire through their child's weekly folder. Parent are asked to complete this consent and questionnaire and then return it to the school or directly to the SAFE Project. Parents of children in 5th through 8th grades will receive a consent form along with a questionnaire. These children may complete the questionnaire at home or at school.  All results will be given directly to the parent/guardian only. For more information on how to get involved with the program, call (607)778-1109 or send an e-mail to: jkelly@co.broome.ny.us.
