My Name is Alexis Green and I am starting a program in my school district called the "Knight Pack"
Did you know that almost half of the school children in our area qualify for free or reduced breakfast and/or lunch at school? So what do they do on the weekends? Over vacation breaks? Over the summer???
I would like to start with addressing this problem by sending home "Knight Packs" with students in my district as often as possible. My goal is to be able to address the need in all 5 of my schools within the next school year. To do this I need your help!!
I will be running food drives and other fundraising events, and am asking for monetary donations as well. I have made a Facebook group called "Knight Pack" that I will keep updated with information (so please be a member of that group). You may also email me at [email protected]. Checks can be made out to Windsor FBLA with a memo line saying Knight Packs. They can be mailed to: Alexis Green, c/o Amy Green, Windsor High School, 1191 NY Route 79, Windsor, NY 13865.I wil put the names of all people/businesses that donate money on my Facebook page and will include them in future pamphlets about the Knight Pack Program.
If you wish to donate food, these are the best options: Granola Bars, Cereal Bars, Fruit Bars, Crackers, Individual Packs of nuts, Fruit Cups, Pudding Cups, Juice Boxes, Pretzels, Single Serve Cereals, Dried Fruit, Spahetti-o's, Ravioli (pull-top are the best).
