Manufacturing Day
Six Windsor Central High School students were among the 250 from the area who attended Manufacturing Day at the Raymond Corporation in Greene, NY on October 12.

A range of Raymond employees, from those recently hired after graduating high school to company executives, explained the different career fields available at the company. One executive explained how his career began on the floor, but Raymond Corporation paid for his education and he was able to work his way to the top levels of the company.

“It was a really great opportunity for students to see everything the Raymond Corporation has to offer. Like someone at the company said, when students hear manufacturing they think of people with wrenches but the students learned there is so much more. It showed the multitude of opportunities available to them,” said Windsor Central High School Career Counselor Heather Noyd.
