The following is an announcement from Don’s Automotive Mall and Gary’s U-Pull It regarding the car giveaway at Windsor Central High School's Post Prom Party on May 12. Windsor student Sarah Salton won the car given away at the party.
"For the 29th year in a row, Don’s Automotive Mall and Gary’s U-Pull It have joined forces in supporting the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) chapters of Windsor and Chenango Valley High Schools. This year, as in past years, Gary’s and Don’s will donate a car for the Post Prom Party for each school. The Post Prom party is an opportunity for students to enjoy substance-free post-prom activities. The car giveaway serves as an excellent incentive for students to spend prom night at the Post Prom Party.
This year’s winners will be presented with keys to their new cars at a special event to be held on Thursday May 24th, 2018 at 10am at Gary’s U-Pull It, 230 Colesville Road in Binghamton. Broome County Executive Jason Garnar and Sheriff Dave Harder are invited to attend, as well as other local dignitaries. Also on hand will be students and advisors from Chenango Valley and Windsor High School SADD chapters and representatives from Don’s Automotive Mall and Gary’s U-Pull It."
