Summer Program Rundown: July 11

Here is a rundown of Windsor summer program activity for July 11th.

Windsor Strong Academy:

Students in the Windsor Strong Academy walked around downtown Binghamton to help answer the question, "What makes a community strong?". The tour took students from the Veterans Memorial Arena & All Wars Memorial to Washington Street, the courthouse, Susquehanna Street, Riverside Drive and other areas of downtown.
Students will break off into groups to drill down to specific issues that make communities strong such as business, arts, sports, etc.

Knight Lights:
The first week of Knight Lights is here. The program focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering & math), physical education, literacy & arts. This week's STEM focus is chemistry.
Campers are creating invisible ink, slime, bubbles and more. All of these are featured in books the children are learning about as well.

Windsor Basketball Camp:
Windsor Basketball Camp continued with a number of skills stations: ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. There was also a hot shot contest where campers tried to make as many shots as possible from five spots on the court in a minute.
Campers also played against both man-to-man and 2-3 zone defenses.
Wednesday camp will feature a 3-on-3 contest, 5-on-5 games and more skills stations.
