Congratulations to Alexis Green who was awarded the “Black Knight Award”. This award is given to a
student whom demonstrates exemplary skills in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, and Character. Alexis demonstrates these qualities daily within the school day and beyond. Since 6th grade Alexis has been helping others with the Knight Pack program. The program provides food packs, which go home every weekend and are being offered over the summer. This is the 2nd school year the program has
been running and has hit the 30,000 item mark. In addition to the Black Knight Award, Alexis won the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and even received a letter from President Obama for her service. She also won the No Kid Hungry award for her writing about feeding the hungry and a Kohls Cares
Scholarship.
