Bell Students Raise $1,057.97 for the Pennies for Patients Campaign

During the months of February and March, the Bell School Student Council ran a three week long fundraising campaign called Pennies for Patients to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This included activities such as Coin Week where each day of the school week had a different coin collection, a coin wishing well, an estimation game, a coin war, guess the teacher’s baby picture game, and a week of themed spirit days like silly sock day and school colors day.

New this year was the first annual Coin Carnival, where students and their families returned to Bell School in the evening for refreshments and the chance to play over 10 different carnival games by donating coins. The campaign ended with a finale assembly where students and teachers went head to head in a Minute to Win It competition. Also, a mystery filled balloon was popped over the head of the Student Council president for every $100 that was raised.

Over the past 6 years, Bell School has raised approximately $8,000 for cancer research through our Pennies for Patients campaigns, and we are proud to announce that this year’s campaign raised $1, 057. 97. Thank you to all of the students, families, faculty, and staff at Bell for such a successful fundraiser!
