Windsor Hosts Dutch Education Group

15 school board members and administrators from Holland came to the Windsor Central School District to learn about partnerships that enhance opportunities for students.

The group started its day at Binghamton University before coming to Windsor. Superintendent Dr. Jason A. Andrews led a presentation of the District to the group before taking the educators on a tour. The educators visited Windsor High School, toured the Windsor region on a school bus and ended their day at Bell Elementary.

“At the end of the visit, our guests stated that they were taking many ideas home with them--especially in the areas of physical fitness and occupational therapy opportunities for students,” said Barbara Phillips, Director of Data, Accountability & Continuous Improvement at the Windsor Central School District.

The group from Holland will attend the Community Schools conference in New York City October 18-20. Educators from Windsor are also attending.

“While we are thrilled that this visit was beneficial for our Holland guests, it was also great for our team to reflect on our practices and to learn from others from another part of the globe,” said Phillips.
