Students at A.F. Palmer Elementary School honored veterans Thursday morning. Each child from grades UPK through five took part in an assembly that honored all veterans, including those close to the Palmer Elementary community.

Children presented a brief history of each military branch and sang that branch’s song. The ceremony also included the singing of the National Anthem, the introduction of veterans who attended as guests, the presentation of a slideshow with photos of veterans close to Palmer students and staff, and the playing of Taps. 

Even the youngest UPK and kindergarten students sang a song to thank our veterans.
